This is my entry for
 =lunascythedragon’s contest "Black & White".These five characters symbolize goodness and four types of evil. EDIT: This won 4th place. Thank you! <3  To the far left of the main figure is the Ideological Evil; the one that commits evil acts in the mistaken belief of doing good. It’s commonly seen in armed conflicts and war. This evil fellow justifies itself on the basis of goodness, like in the war between Osama bin Laden and Bush. To attack evil doesn’t automatically mean you stand on the good’s side. In the upper left corner crawls the Stupid Evil; the one that commits evil without knowing it or even care. The evil around the world is almost always caused by ignorance, and the good will can bring about just as much damage as the evil one, if there’s lack of knowledge. To the upper right are the most familiar evils of them all - the Instrumental Evil. This nasty fellow is the one that commits evil deeds for personal gain, while knowing it is wrong. Bank robbery and various kinds of thievery are its more common attributes. To the right rises the Demonic Evil from the dust, the one that appears in books and movies. It's doing evil just because it’s evil. This evil is fictional, and therefore far out in the distance. The main figure is the brightly flaming Goodness, although tainted. Nothing can be 100% good. The blindfold represents ignorance/passivity and the relationship with Stupid Evil. One example is the Holocaust. It would have never happened if the German people had protested against the Nazis when they first introduced Jew regulations and deportations. The flail symbolizes the fight against evil, from which the Ideological Evil emerges. The mask stands for the stereotype conception of what goodness looks like. The scroll symbolizes knowledge, and the brass scales the power of Justice. The lower cup overflows with blood. Is death penalty a righteous thing? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I guess I'm among the last competitors to enter a pic into the contest. I must be honest with you... this has drained lots of my time and energy. I guess you already now this, but I F*CKING HATE MY SCANNER!! >8U (Sorry, I needed to vent that out ^^' ) The scan became all grainy, and many colours was washed off. After many hours of struggling with it in Photoshop, I tried to take photos instead. This is the closest I can get to the original quality :C Blurry like hell... Anyway, I was close to give up on this one. this one came up very abstract for me, specially for the creature in the left side >.>;
OMFG I love the Stupid Evil one, it's like the stupid masses I usually live with
You have made several evils, but I'd like to see the most important one for me, the pure evil one, the one made of rage, hate and sadism, you know, the human one :B
I loved all those concepts, it makes the drawing very complex, and good job coloring them with light colors, it kinda breaks the stereotype

I love this work, is a masterpiece of yours, I love all those symbols and meanings. I love that 'mystic' atmosphere of mytical ancient civilizations. You should write a book, srsly.
I just got excited by this drawing, those things full of symbolism are my favorites ones. Though I always prefer trying to guess waht every single element means, I enjoyed alot reading the description.

I'm jealous of everything in this drawing, the anatomy is too sexy for my pants, looks so massive and powerful and elegant at the same time, those arms, I love them, thin and showing strength, every single detail, I'd love to see this in real life, I'd pay for it

Where should I begin? I'm at a loss of words right now... I never foresaw such a great excitement from you, I'm really stunned O__O And very touched!
I think these four evils are the very core of pure evil, only plucked apart. For example; hate is based on fear, and fear is caused by ignorance --> Stupid Evil. That's my theory. It would be great to see all of them fuse together into one single creature
Write a book? That has been my dream since middle school ^^ It's in fact the main reason I began drawing in the first place. But I'm not a good writer
